The second part of the conference « Admin2004 Europe » took place in Paris in
December 2004.
The administrators and developers using Lotus/Domino are very familiar with the
event’s organizer — the magazine “The View”. The conference usually took place
in the United States (Boston).
The transatlantic success wave has brought the conference to reach Copenhagen
and then Paris, to the great satisfaction of numerous IBM/Lotus technology
professionals who arrived from all over Europe and even from further remote
destinations.
Hypersoft, the world leader in metrology, analysis, reporting and metrics of
service levels for messaging systems, naturally became Premium Gold Sponsor of
the two European conferences "Admin 2004", where the industry experts held more
than 30 sessions in six major tracks.
Important and popular issues covered in the conference included “Performance
Monitoring and Tuning” and “Upgrade Planning and Implementation”. Hypersoft in
co-operation with EDS MCS (Messaging Collaborative Services) presented a session
oriented on service level management and improvement by the means of monitoring
and efficient analysis of the messaging infrastructure (« Improve IT Service
Management by Monitoring and Reporting the Availability , Quality and
Utilization of your Messaging Services – New messaging SLA : a customer
requirement »).
The goal of this session was to draw attention to the growing problems faced by
companies trying to deliver services of higher quality, and to discuss the IT
Service Management approach and the best ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library)
experience. It was an attempt to evaluate the importance of having a proactive
approach rather than reactive for information services management (Reporting
Analysis vs. Real-Time Supervision).
Nowadays the IT market clearly shows that — to respond to availability
limitations that go crescendo, to assure optimal service quality for users, to
execute efficiently metrical processes in messaging and collaboration
applications real-time monitoring became insufficient. Henceforward, it is of
primary importance to have a perfect knowledge of your messaging infrastructure,
of its functioning and of its usage. Quality measurements for the delivered
services need to be performed from the end-user perspective, i.e. it is
important to distinguish the service quality "relative" to the system and the
service quality perceived by the customer. This would not have become possible
without the appropriate technology.
Service level management and perfect knowledge of your messaging infrastructure
are true magic for mastering IT costs, creation of a reliable expenses model and
adequate billing.
With this conference being oriented strongly on the current situation in the IT
services market, and particularly on the market of business messaging and
peripheral services, Hypersoft made public the new version of OmniAnalyser,
v.8.7. as well as its business intelligence software OmniContext.
Having arrived at the end of the three conference days and taking in
consideration the general satisfaction expressed by numerous visitors, it is
safe to bet that Admin will come back to Europe next year and why not once more
to Paris!

Boston, May 14, 2004
Hypersoft Information Systems announces
at ADMIN 2004 the new
availability monitoring functionality in its award-winning
OmniAnalyser™ software.
This new features include calculating mail server
availability separately for each Store when it concerns
Miscrosoft Exchange Availability. Server availability in the
network can now be also probed by sending TCP/IP pings.
Apart from just pinging the server, pinging any specified
port is also possible. If the server hosts pages or files
that are available via HTTP protocol, the availability of
such HTTP resources can also be checked with the new version
of OmniAnalyser™, even if accessing these resources requires
special authorization with the HTTP server. Mail links
between local and remote servers can now be checked by
sending Round Trip messages, information on which will also
be present in OmniAnalyser™ reports.
For these new types of availability information, real-time
and history reporting, as well as sending alerts when
critical situation occur, are available. System
administrators can now have data on most critical aspects of
system availability collected in one tool and delivered
exactly where they need it.
Mail server availability information was present in
OmniAnalyser™ reports since early OmniAnalyser™ versions,
however, as the product grows to embrace more and more
sources of data, these new availability features are the
next step in making OmniAnalyser™ the ultimate product for
all monitoring, metering and reporting needs.
Munich, February 20, 2004
German-based Hypersoft Information
Systems GmbH extends the virus reporting capabilities of its
OmniAnalyser™ messaging reporting and analysis software. It
now integrates ScanMail™ for Lotus Notes™ which offers
comprehensive virus protection and content security for the
Lotus Domino™ environment.
OmniAnalyser™ now processes all ScanMail™ log files and,
thus, allows for comprehensive reporting on viruses detected
and messages blocked. This includes statistics on names,
groups and types of viruses, their total counts as well as
the names of originators and recipients of blocked messages.
Further, OmniAnalyser™ reports on the ScanMail™
application’s health and status. The first type is a
real-time report indicating whether the virus engine is
working correctly or not by periodically sending an infected
test mail to the servers. The second type of report provides
a summary about all running ScanMail™ applications installed
on different servers throughout the network. This includes
the server name, ScanMail™ version number, version number of
the virus engine, and the pattern number.
All reports can be easily scheduled and
fully automated thanks to various user defined filter
settings. Reports can be either published through the
Intranet/Internet or distributed via e-mail as CSV, HTML, or
XML files. OmniAnalyser™ provides administrators a familiar,
intuitive web interface to generate and configure new
reports and retrieve historical reports.
Hypersoft develops comprehensible messaging reporting and
analysis solutions for Lotus Domino™/Notes™, Microsoft
Exchange, Sun ONE Integration Server (iPlanet), and SMTP
servers such as Sendmail.
Orlando, January 25, 2004
Hypersoft is currently presenting the
new OmniAnalyser™ version 8.0 at the Lotusphere in Orlando,
Florida.
In addition to its well established
comprehensive traffic and usage analysis function,
OmniAnalyser™ is now delivering new analytic capabilities
for Domino replication schedules and delays as well as
unique topology-based analysis of messaging and application
traffic.
OmniAnalyser™ 8.0 features numerous new
reports such as Message Delivery Delays, Message Size
Distribution, Database Replication Delays, and many others
reports and the Self-Analysis report which displays the
internal state of the OmniAnalyser™ database so that any
missing data can be easily identified by user, and
re-requested with the help of OmniAnalyser™ console.
Improvements in reporting functionality
include new drill-down functionalities for the Server
Availability report and an “Access Time” filter for hiding
servers under a critical latency value from the report.
The new version of the OmniAnalyser™
Integration Server can automatically publish graphs together
with reports or publish a report as an XML file on the
network. They have pivot tables, which display details of
data collection for each date for Mailboxes and Server
Availability data and help troubleshooting data collection.
The redesigned reports list allows users the logon to
Hypersoft reports website, to see only the most frequently
used reports and hide the rest of the reports tree.
There also are several innovations on
the functionality side. The monitoring Agent can now monitor
and alert on any specified parameter on a Windows machine,
report on the performance history of monitored parameters,
and monitor the Windows event log as well as any events from
the Lotus Domino server logs. The Scan Agent is now able to
check Last Access information for users of the mail servers.
Further improvements have been made to
ensure seamless OmniAnalyser™ operation across all supported
platforms, which currently include Microsoft Exchange, Lotus
Domino, SendMail and Sun One Integration Server (iPlanet).
The operation of OmniAnalyser™ has
become more robust with the introduction of the
Self-Analysis report with the complete details of the
enterprise-wide messaging data collection process.

Discovering Corporate Knowledge with the New
OmniContext™ Reporting Server
New Release of OmniAnalyser™ for Lotus Domino R6
Munich, November 24, 2003.
Hypersoft Information Systems announces
the availability of real-time monitoring of NT events with
the new version of award-winning OmniAnalyser™.
Information on both Windows and user activities is a
necessary foundation for system administration: it forms the
estimation of how secure is the entire enterprise. Every
administrator dreams to have alerts right in time of audited
events, especially with right-away command execution. The
opportunity to have it in real time, as implemented in
OmniAnalyser™ Version 8.0, provides users with absolutely
new quality of security.
Data on system errors and warnings, as well as
application-generated information prompts user for better
decisions on usage regulations and system optimisation. The
earlier reports are available, the more effective become
necessary actions. This is even more important in concern
with security logging. Valid and invalid logon to the
system, access to files and folders, changes to accounts and
groups will be known immediately. Auditing can be set for an
attempt by a particular user to read a certain file, for
changes in security settings, for creating and deleting of
specified objects. Information on these and other events
will be displayed on the web server, thus administrator can
check it any minute without searching through Event Viewer.
Moreover, alert on events according to user’s definition can
be delivered to appropriate location with a single line
command.
Real-time monitoring of NT events complements now
pre-existent history records and is indisputably helpful for
increasing enterprise security. Having this powerful
functionality along with a comprehensive solution for
messaging analysis is a great advantage nowadays. The newest
features of market leading OmniAnalyser™ Version 8.0 will be
presented at Lotusphere Conference, January 26-30, 2004,
Walt Disney World (Florida, USA). Join the presentation or

OmniAnalyser™, comprehensive solution for messaging systems
analysis.
Munich, 20 October 2003
Hypersoft Informationssysteme GmbH
announces new comparative and interpreting capabilities of
its OmniAnalyser™, world-leading comprehensive solution for
messaging analytics.
The new concepts, as introduced with OmniAnalyser™
version 8, are intended to dramatically reduce human efforts
for data comparison and interpretation and thus, to make the
whole mail system more transparent for effective usage and
optimisation.
Newly appeared Smart Reports conduct sophisticated
analysis of corporate messaging data and prompt for the fast
and best decision-making. Based on data, extracted and
calculated for a range of different particular reports and
re-combined in accordance with certain specific issues,
Smart Reports consolidate essential information and
represent analysis results, replacing most of the work which
IT staff members usually do accordingly to interpret the
data. Smart graphs pinpoint the parts of the network where
problems are accumulating, and adjust the SLA reporting to
any service contract. A user can get straight information
on, for instance, who are the major resources consumers or
which are the most delayed mail servers. This smart approach
has become possible due to Hypersoft’s expertise in analysis
of the world’s most complicated messaging networks, applied
to the reporting logics.
OmniAnalyser™ provides principally new quality of
support with its new sophisticated Diagnostic Tool, derived
from the vast experience of Hypersoft’s support staff.
Identification and investigation of all emerging problems
gets much easier than ever before thanks to availability of
two diagnostic levels. Most of support cases can be solved
already at the first level, where comprehensive information
on the installation is collected in a separate text file:
servers, agents, user rights settings, etc. This file
checked by the user and studied at Hypersoft’s support, will
save a huge amount of time and efforts to identify the
problem. Should a deeper diagnostic level get necessary, the
Diagnostic Tool can be set up according to the specific
needs and supplies all the essential data for solving even
the most difficult or hidden problems. With this automated
identification and investigation possibilities, a customer
becomes less dependent from support, and the entire quality
of service provided gets more qualified, more purposeful and
faster.
With new intelligent features provided by OmniAnalyser™,
Hypersoft leverages its long experience in messaging
networks analysis to ensure simultaneously maximum benefits
and minimum human efforts. The most recent version of it is
presented at the IT Forum, Copenhagen, 11-14 November 2003.

Windows & .NET Magazine named Hypersoft
OmniAnalyser the winner of Tech Ed 2003 Best of Show
Award in the Messaging category
Munich, 12 June 2003
Windows & .NET
Magazine
Network,
a Penton Media property, announced the winners of the
Best of Show Awards for Tech Ed 2003 at the Hyatt
Regency Hotel in Dallas, Texas on June 4.
Awards were presented to Windows technology vendors in
several categories. The field included more than 211
entries, and the judges evaluated products based on
their strategic importance to the market, competitive
advantage, and value to the customer.
“All of the products that were finalists for the Best of
Show Awards were truly excellent”, said Michael Otey,
senior technical editor. “It was difficult to make the
final decisions”, said David Chernicoff, senior
contributing editor for Windows & .NET Magazine.
The winner in the messaging category was Hypersoft’s
OmniAnalyser™. David Chernicoff said, “This product
offers a very comprehensive view of your entire email
infrastructure and how messages progress through it. You
can drill down on messages, find about message content,
and see that information in either real-time or
report-based views”.
OmniAnalyser™ provides companies with central
web-reporting mechanisms, where data from multiple
distributed sources over the global e-mail organization
is analyzed, and wide ranges of comprehensive drill-down
reports are offered to IT staff and business units.
OmniAnalyser™ reports on service levels, usage trends,
e-mail costs and broad range of operational performance
issues in companies that use MS Exchange, Lotus Notes,
Sendmail, iPlanet within homogeneous or mixed e-mail
environments.
As messaging systems are a prime target for SLAs, with
popular items being message delivery times, mailbox
usage, and server capacity management, message delivery
times in particular can be difficult to monitor across
all the servers in bigger companies. OmniAnalyser™
provides an easy way to keep track of all details of the
messaging system. Because all reports are web-based,
their interface is very straightforward and they are
easily accessible from everywhere within the
organization just by using a standard web browser.

Hypersoft Expands
to France
Aix-en-Provence, 5 April
2003
Hypersoft S.A.S has opened
its office in Aix-en-Provence, France. Its main
activities will concentrate on closer work with
Hypersoft customers in the Mediterranean region and
further development of OmniContext™, a web-based
business intelligence software product that provides
analysis and reporting solution for corporate data
repositories.
Discovering Corporate Knowledge with the New
OmniContext™ Reporting Server
Munich, 5
March 2003
Hypersoft
Information Systems GmbH announced a new universal and
completely web-based business intelligence software
product. OmniContext™ Reporting Server is an analysis
and reporting solution for corporate data repositories.
This includes relational databases, messaging stores and
tracking logs for Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino
servers, file and web servers as well as non-tabular
hierarchic data sources such as HTML or XML files.
The challenge of staying in control over constantly
expanding information is greater than ever. More and
more information becomes critical to the running
business. Thus, the ability to identify and correlate
these different information streams and to link this
corporate information to the actual business processes
is one of today’s most important competitive advantages.
Therefore, OmniContext™ has been designed to ensure
maximum scalability paired with the greatest possible
variety of opportunities to deploy different and
flexible scenarios.
Advanced possibilities to filter and group data are
supported. Further, the software provides the ability to
fully customize the evaluation logic behind individual
reports by using mathematical, logical, or comparison
operators as well as built-in database functions
combined with an easy-to-use point-and-click interface.
With its distributed and web-based software
architecture, OmniContext™ gains access to various
information streams either directly or by using
so-called agents to gather information even from remote
servers across the enterprise. All information collected
is processed at the central OmniContext™ Reporting
Server, which operates, based on Microsoft’s SQL Server
technology. Users can generate predefined and ad hoc
queries, schedule the execution of reports and publish
these to a number of different destinations such as
e-mail recipients and web servers.
OmniContext™ allows for the analysis of the usage and
relevance of data. This is achieved by analyzing how
selected individuals or processes are accessing
corporate data as well as how data is exchanged between
groups or individuals in relation to tasks, objects,
files, or projects. Including the information available
from the corporate messaging system, the software gives
completely new context and deep insight to the real
constitution of the available corporate knowledge. It
helps to identify individuals and their personal role
and impact on different business processes.
The software’s unique security model separates data
collection from the data analysis process. Therefore,
only authorisation for analysis gains access to critical
data, whereas the collection of data happens without any
permission to directly operate on the OmniContext™
Reporting Server at all.
Corporate knowledge now becomes a tangible asset by
merging comprehensible data analysis with business
processes and workflow data.

Hypersoft Announces New Release of OmniAnalyser™ for
Lotus Domino R6
Munich, 3
January 2003
The
German-based Hypersoft Information Systems GmbH –
developer of messaging and communication analysis and
reporting software – announces the full compatibility of
its OmniAnalyser™ software with the new release of Lotus
Domino™ R6. Thus, OmniAnalyser™ continues to be a
significant milestone in the Hypersoft product line,
encompassing wide functionality for professional
analysis of corporate e-mail, visualization of mail and
data traffic as well as monitoring of mail servers and
other data repositories. The new software release will
be presented live at the Lotusphere®, January 26. – 30,
2003.
Today, e-mail often becomes mission-critical to the
entire business processes. Thus, a healthy and stable
messaging system is the backbone of a company’s
activities. Companies obviously need a powerful tool
that non-intrusively analyzes the system performance and
supplies data to the involved IT staff in a convenient
user interface. OmniAnalyser™ is designed to address
these needs and leverages new technologies to catch the
changes on the rapidly advancing IT market.
OmniAnalyser™ provides all its information in Web
reports, which can be viewed with standard Internet
browsers such as Internet Explorer or Netscape
Navigator. No additional client software is required.
The software has a distributed architecture, which
allows data collection from multiple servers and sites
by using e-mail with practically no impact on the
network load. This approach makes OmniAnalyser™ highly
scalable for organizations with hundreds of servers and
unreliable connections to some remote sites. The
software allows for visualization of the entire
corporate mail network to analyze traffic volumes and
resource usage in order to identify server bottlenecks,
SLA incompliance, and system configuration faults.
The results can be viewed with a large variety of
visualization techniques. Among usual tabular and
graphical representations, network relationship diagrams
are derived for the visualization of communication
routes, objects, and document links. The hierarchical
presentation of all information allows one to easily get
an overall view of the underlying communication
infrastructure and their characteristics. Reports
automatically can be published on a web server and send
to predefined e-mail recipients.
OmniAnalyser™ is also available to customers as a
service from Hypersoft. The software supports Lotus
Domino™ R5 and R6, Microsoft Exchange 5.5 as well as
Exchange 2002, iPlanet (Sun ONE Integration Server) and
Sendmail servers. Extensive support and training are
available from Hypersoft and its resellers around the
world. For more information contact
information@hypersoft.com or visit our website at
www.hypersoft.com. The software will be presented at the
Lotusphere® 2003 in Orlando, Florida.
Hypersoft Information Systems, a worldwide leading
vendor in metric and messaging analysis software for
corporate communication systems and data repositories,
has released a new version of its OmniAnalyser™ software
for MS Exchange, Lotus Notes, Sendmail and iPlanet. This
includes the interoperability with the new OmniContext™
Reporting Server, an analysis module that enables IT
managers as well as marketing and financial controlling
specialists to monitor, visualize, and link traditional
information assets and metrics along with
non-traditional information metrics.
The key to organizing and understanding information
assets is in the context where the information is from
and what is related to it. But tracing origins, authors,
and relationships for many kinds of information assets,
today, is often based on interpersonal communication and
collaboration. Of course, with today’s messaging
platforms such as Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange it
becomes easy to track comprehensive information by
reading mail headers, server logs and other information
assets. However, neither data is sent only via e-mail
nor is it completely retrievable from log files, but
gathered from multiple data sources. Thus, this data is
partially collected in messaging stores or Domino
databases, but also stored in relational databases and
other repositories and, therefore, is not directly
involved in the communication context.
Instead of developing complex algorithms to recognize
patterns and dependencies in complex databases and data
volumes, the new OmniContext™ Reporting Server
automatically derives these patterns and dependencies
from the actual business process and communication. To
achieve this, the software gathers numeric data from
relational databases, messaging stores, XML and HTML
documents, file servers, and tables; it considers links
and relationships for documents and objects, collects
data about patterns, routes, and subjects of the
enterprise communication and business processes. In this
way, OmniContext™ can process both quantitative and
qualitative information and discovers new
business-relevant knowledge.
Communication patterns directly derived from the actual
corporate e-mail traffic are extremely valuable. They
help to identify personal roles and functions as well as
true involvement into business processes. It maps even
the complete corporate communication topology. All this
information helps to identify key individuals and
knowledge owners related to specific projects and their
impact on the different business processes.
The results can be viewed in a standard web browser with
a large variety of visualization techniques. Among usual
tabular and graphical representations, network
relationship diagrams are derived for the visualization
of communication routes, objects, and document links.
The hierarchical presentation of all information allows
one to easily get an overall view of the underlying
communication infrastructure and their characteristics.
Reports automatically can be published on a web server
and sent to predefined e-mail recipients.
The software is compatible with the latest versions of
MS Windows, MS SQL Server, Lotus Domino and MS Exchange.
Other platforms such as iPlanet and Sendmail are
supported. OmniContext™ Reporting Server is also
available as a professional ASP service from Hypersoft.

Extract Business Knowledge from Corporate Information
Stores and Messaging Environments with the OmniContext™
Reporting Server
Munich, 25
November 2002
Hypersoft
Information Systems, a worldwide leading vendor in
metric and messaging analysis software for corporate
communication systems and data repositories, has
released a new version of its OmniAnalyser™ software for
MS Exchange, Lotus Notes, and Sendmail. This includes
the interoperability with the new OmniContext™ Reporting
Server, an analysis module that enables IT managers as
well as marketing and financial controlling specialists
to monitor, visualize, and link traditional information
assets and metrics along with non-traditional
information metrics.
The key to organizing and understanding information
assets is in the context where the information is from
and what is related to it. But tracing origins, authors,
and relationships for many kinds of information assets,
today, is often based on interpersonal communication and
collaboration. Of course, with today’s messaging
platforms such as Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange it
becomes easy to track comprehensive information by
reading mail headers, server logs and other information
assets. However, neither data is sent only via e-mail
nor is it completely retrievable from log files, but
gathered from multiple data sources. Thus, this data is
partially collected in messaging stores or Domino
databases, but also stored in relational databases and
other repositories and, therefore, is not directly
involved in the communication context.
Instead of developing complex algorithms to recognize
patterns and dependencies in complex databases and data
volumes, the new OmniContext™ Reporting Server
automatically derives these patterns and dependencies
from the actual business process and communication. To
achieve this, the software gathers numeric data from
relational databases, messaging stores, XML and HTML
documents, file servers, and tables; it considers links
and relationships for documents and objects, collects
data about patterns, routes, and subjects of the
enterprise communication and business processes. In this
way, OmniContext™ can process both quantitative and
qualitative information and discovers new
business-relevant knowledge.
Communication patterns directly derived from the actual
corporate e-mail traffic are extremely valuable. They
help to identify personal roles and functions as well as
true involvement into business processes. It maps even
the complete corporate communication topology. All this
information helps to identify key individuals and
knowledge owners related to specific projects and their
impact on the different business processes.
The results can be viewed in a standard web browser with
a large variety of visualization techniques. Among usual
tabular and graphical representations, network
relationship diagrams are derived for the visualization
of communication routes, objects, and document links.
The hierarchical presentation of all information allows
one to easily get an overall view of the underlying
communication infrastructure and their characteristics.
Reports automatically can be published on a web server
and sent to predefined e-mail recipients.
The software is compatible with the latest versions of
MS Windows, MS SQL Server, Lotus Domino and MS Exchange.
Other platforms such as iPlanet and Sendmail are
supported. OmniContext™ Reporting Server is also
available as a professional ASP service from Hypersoft.

Munich, 10 September 2002
With its new multi agent technology, Hypersoft OmniAnalyser™
now introduces another milestone for perfect messaging
analysis. After parts of OmniAnalyser™ has
been architecturally redesigned, the new release allows for
gathering messaging data from multiple servers
simultaneously. However, the multi agent software does not
need to be installed on each server under observation. It
merely operates from a single Windows machine.
Most reports now cover data visualisation by
organisational unit (OU), by mailbox, and by level. The
latter denominates a part of an MS Exchange address.
Consequently following the plan to offer
highly integrated and web based components, OmniAnalyser™
today can be almost completely configured and managed using
a standard Web browser console.
Customers already viewing OmniAnalyser™
reports on SQL level will now have the possibility to also
view OmniAnalyser™ Roles. A new page was added to show all
users currently using the software’s database and to show
public folder hierarchy information.
The added server resources utilisation report
tracks events such as low CPU capacity, memory, and disk
space in real time. This information is shown in
OmniAnalyser’s™ standard reports.

OmniAnalyser 7.1 helps companies save money
on E-mail Administration and collect data for Business Intelligence
New
Orleans, LA. -- 09 April, 2002
Hypersoft has released the new version of its OmniAnalyser™ software.
This release is strategically important not only for E-mail
Administrators and IT Management but also for CTO’s and staff on the
business side of the companies, because it is one of the first products
that allows for both automated reporting on the messaging system, and
analysis of the communication patterns and contents in their correlation
to the company’s business processes. The product can be used with
Microsoft Exchange 2000 and Exchange 5.5 Server.
The data that is hidden behind the seemingly obvious and simple
operation of a messaging system is extremely valuable. Progressive
companies understand they can not afford to run their corporate e-mail
system without being able to analyze and control its usage. The benefits
are obvious – reduction of administrative time and costs, prevention of
possible problems before they appear, being able to understand workflow
and resource usage, create and audit optimal SLA and chargeback model.
Hypersoft OmniAnalyser™ is the first product to bring E-mail analysis to
professional level and provide companies with the information they need
to leverage their communication system for a competitive advantage. The
new 7.1 version of the product has several enhancements in performance
and reporting capabilities. However the major milestone is a set of new
features that allow companies to expand their decision-making abilities
to include information based on the communication system. For example
patterns of document usage, the effectiveness of e-mail based marketing
campaigns, and finding hidden expertise within the company. The amount
of business-relevant information, which can be collected from the
messaging system, is greatly underestimated by most of businesses. The
new OmniAnalyser™ product allows companies make most of their
communication systems, both on operational and business sides.
"Microsoft is pleased to see Hypersoft delivering customers a
comprehensive solution," said Earnie Glazener, Product Manager, .NET
Enterprise Server Division at Microsoft Corp. "The functionality
provided by OmniAnalyser™ software meets the needs of our mutual
customers allowing them fully control and benefit from their
Exchange2000 messaging platform.”
Hypersoft OmniAnalyser™ reports are available via your standard Internet
browser and provide the following information:
• Amount and percentage of delayed and non-delivered messages in entire
company and on different parts of mail system
• Traffic numbers by and between users, departments, inbound and
outbound Internet traffic volumes
• Server performance history, usage statistics and realtime status data
• Complete mailboxes data – numbers, sizes, usage statistics
• Public Folder contents and properties data, growth and usage patterns
• POP3, IMAP4 and OWA connections dynamics
• Amount of viruses found by your antivirus software, history of
anti-virus performance
• Visualization of problem trends and business issues: configuration
faults, document propagation, knowledge flow and CRM statistics
The OmniAnalyser™ software can be downloaded for evaluation from
Hypersoft website at http://www.hypersoft.com/AnalyserTest/main.htm. The
software is licensed per Exchange server, one server license priced at
USD 600.- Please contact information@hypersoft.com for more information.

New Tools for Decision Making
New reports in OmniAnalyser™
software include the history of virus messages found on the company’s
servers
Munich,
30 November 2001
Hypersoft OmniAnalyser™
has incorporated another significant level of statistics, which enhance
the product’s value for E-mail Administrators. The new
AntiVirus reports have been added to the
product, which provide entire history of
virus messages entering the company’s networks over a time period.
The
AntiVirus reports are created based on the
new functionality that was added to the Hypersoft Agent. This
functionality allows reading data provided by the existing antivirus
software, and introducing these statistics into the standard
OmniAnalyser™ reports.
The
AntiVirus reports provide an overview of how
many messages of different virus groups have entered the company, and
how these statistics have been changing over a period of time. You can
compare this data for different parts of your company, and find out the
most vulnerable sources. Drill down to each and every virus message and
its travel history is available.
AntiVirus
reports are another important add-on to
OmniAnalyser’s functionality, which alongside with its
state-of-the-art analytical and monitoring features make the Hypersoft
product a unique application that can provide a centralized information
point for IT administrators and managers of any company.

Professional software for E-mail analysis and visualization in networks
of different mail platforms and size
Orlando,
Fl September 30, 2001
Hypersoft Information Systems GmbH– the Germany-based developer of
messaging and communication analysis and reporting software – is now
glad to announce the availability of its OmniAnalyser™
7.0 product version. OmniAnalyser™
7.0 is a significant milestone in the Hypersoft product line, encompassing
wide functionality for professional analysis of the corporate E-mail,
visualization of the traffic trends and monitoring of mail servers and
repositories.
There is no underestimating the role of E-mail in today’s business.
Healthy and stable messaging system is a backbone to each company’s
activities, and the bigger is the company, the more critical load is
placed on its E-mail networks. Obviously one needs a good tool, which
would non-intrusively analyze the system’s performance and supply data
to the involved IT staff in a convenient and interactive view.
OmniAnalyser™
has been designed to meet these needs, and each new product version is to
leverage new technologies and match the significant changes on the IT
market.
"OmniAnalyser provides a valuable solution," said Kevin McCuistion,
Exchange Group Product Manager at Microsoft. "Microsoft is excited to be
working with Hypersoft Information Systems to offer customers a reliable
solution to enable business with Exchange 2000 platform."
OmniAnalyser™
delivers all its information to the customer in Web reports, which are
available in any Internet browser with no additional client software
required. The product has a distributed architecture, which allows
collecting all necessary data from multiple servers and sites over the
existing E-mail traffic, with no impact on the network load. Both these
features make OmniAnalyser highly scalable for organization with
hundreds of servers and bad or no permanent connection with some remote
sites.
An important new feature in OmniAnalyser™
7.0 allows visualizing the entire company’s mail network, see how
resources are used, what are the volumes of traffic and quickly identify
problem servers, SLA incompliance and system configuration faults.
“Hypersoft
product has given us critical knowledge about our mail system, - says
Brian Shrum, IT Analyst for Principal Financial Group. - Our
email usage seemed to be increasing, but we had not been able to provide
any hard numbers to prove that theory. We have been looking for
something to report on the number, size, and frequency of the messages
traveling through our environment, which would also fit into our
infrastructure without disrupting what is currently in place. We can now
start trending the information we receive for better server analysis,
which allows us to determine when we have reached our limits
for hardware. And we are also impressed with the delivery method
of the data files in that it does not require any extra work since it
uses our current email system.”
OmniAnalyser™
is available to its customers not only as a product but also as a service
from Hypersoft’s or partners’ premises. The software supports Microsoft
Exchange 5.5 and 2000. The pricing is per server license. Extensive
support and training are available from Hypersoft and its reseller’s
worldwide.
Real-time Server and Traffic Monitoring To Complement the Analytical
Features of the Hypersoft OmniAnalyser™
software
Munich,
July 27, 2001
Critical new functionality have
been added by Hypersoft development team to the OmniAnalyser™ software. For the last 2 years
the OmniAnalyser™ has been the leading metrics
solution to analyse and report on all messaging issues of an Exchange or
Notes infrastructure. Now it became possible to monitor all servers and
alert the Admin about the dynamic status of his mailing system – all
this functionality available through the standard Web access.
The Server Monitoring Report is generated from the map of
all company’s servers, by doubleclicking on the server icon, whereas all
trouble servers are highlighted in red on the picture and an alert is
sent to the Administrator as SMS or mail to his mailbox.
The following information is included:
·
Server’s availability to mail clients
·
Server’s availability in the network
·
Mail queues, their current state and sizes
·
Disk space usage
·
Memory usage
·
CPU
·
All services running on the server, their current status
All these features are already tested and available in the current
product version, and will be included in the OmniAnalyser™
7.0 version to be released this fall. The new product version is going
to be a breakthrough on the market of messaging metrics solutions – its
combination of analytical, monitoring and reporting features makes
OmniAnalyser™
a unique instrument, capable of giving the Administrator all information
he needs to maintain effectively its Exchange 2000 or Lotus Notes
environment.

which ensure a unique drill-down analysis of the company messaging
traffic.
OmniAnalyser™
has long been known as software, which can among other data provide
detailed statistics on mail delivery times – the information critically
essential for both parties of the Service Level Agreement. The SLA
tables and graphs in OmniAnalyser™
reports contain statistics on delayed mails for each particular hour,
day or any other time interval; delay time values may be specified by
user, depending on the existing SLA contract.
All this data is a perfect basis on which to build your Service
Provider-Client relations. Indeed, there is probably no other way to
estimate, to which extent the E-mail service in your company is
compliant with the agreed level.
However, a new knowledge area has been explored with the implementation
of the new OmniAnalyser™
reports: that of analysing the total history of message delivery and
thus identifying the exact spots in the company messaging network, that
are responsible for the delayed mails.
“There is an eternal need for the system administrator to know, what is
the number, size and percentage of delayed mails, - says Dr. Serguei
Dobrinevski, the Hypersoft Director,- but the next obvious step is to be
able to say, what caused those delays and where they did happen. In
these new reports we tell our customer even more – what was the delivery
time for each message on every particular link within the total company
network topology.”
The data retrieved by the new product functionality creates to the equal
extent a basis for more system management activities. By visualizing the
traffic trends for each server and connector, you will be able to make
necessary decisions for your network configuration.
With
Hypersoft OmniAnalyser™ corporate e-mail traffic is no longer going to
contain any dark and unexplored areas – now you will be able to extract
sufficient information on any part of your mail network.

Exchange Analyser™: Now Available As Service

Are you interested in having all the detailed information about your MS
Exchange without having to install the software and generate the reports
yourself? Then this is some news for you!
Hypersoft Exchange Analyser™, previously available for small, mid and
large companies, can now be used with all its unique reporting
capabilities as a service.
After having recently released Version 6.0 of the product - fully
compatible with Exchange 2000, we have made a step to meet the need of
many companies to have an application service capable of analysing and
reporting on their Exchange.
The architecture of Exchange Analyser™ allows easy operation of the
service.
Exchange Agents - simple non-intrusive Windows NT service collecting
tracking information - are installed on your Exchange servers, whereas a
dedicated mailbox is created for each of the Agents, to allow their
communication with Analyser.
The Analyser itself is installed on a Hypersoft computer. It collects
the logs from the Agents, and keeps the processed data in an SQL Server
database.
What we offer as a result is more than 40 standard Web-based reports,
covering the statistics and figures needed by the System Administrator.
This information includes:
-
All mail delivery times
-
NDR and delayed messages
-
SLA
-
Cost chargeback per mailbox, server, site or any business unit
-
Servers Health and Availability
-
Replication Traffic
-
Public Folder and Mailbox contents
You gain access to these reports through a secure Internet connection to
the Hypersoft server.
